Serbian police are waITing for orders to continue their efforts to arrest former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic. Top Yugoslav officials say Mr. Milosevic will be arrested by the end of Saturday. President Vojislav Kostunica met Saturday wITh top Sebian and Yugoslav officials.Later he said no one can stand above the law if the state is to survive. Mr. Milosevic has said he would not be taken to prison alive. Armed civilian say they will defend the former president wITh their lives. The Yugoslav army has wIThdrawn ITs soldiers from the area near his house. On Friday, Mr. Milosevic was charged wITh wrong-doing. The Serbian interior minister says the former president will not be sent to UnITed Nation War Crimes Court in the Hague to face charges of crimes against humanITy.
